    Storytelling for Leaders

In our day to day work, we need to form our message in ways that people can understand quickly, during the ever increasing speed of change.

    • Our message needs to be more simple to understand, not complicated.
    • Our message needs to be more engaging to hold our attention.
    • Our message needs to easily “click-into-place” to save time.

Storytelling is a technique that can help speed up effective messaging and delivery.

Learn to be a more impactful and an inspiring leader through storytelling!

Presented by Russell Cotter, Enterprise Architecture, JPM Chase

    Description:

Just as chemical reactions can be volatile, change can be disruptive and chaotic. It is best to take a meticulous near-scientific approach to change.  That’s where the Periodic Table of Change Management can be of benefit.

Seasoned professionals as well as novices can use the periodic table to ensure results and keep projects on track.

During this session, you will learn how to apply the Elements of Change and go from guess work to lab work.  Proficiently managed change management projects are six times more likely to stay on budget and meet their timeframe goals.

    About our Speaker:

Brian Schmidt is a Prosci-certified principal consultant with more than 20 years of experience in change management and training development. Brian is also a member of the Central Ohio ATD Chapter.

Brian’s Elements of Change has been published in the February 2021 Edition of TD Magazine.

Come join us for the Bi-Monthly Organizational Development SIG lead by Mary Held.

    This Month's topic is:

    Organizational and personal resilience:

Does OD play a role?  How has your organization transitioned from designing for efficiency vs. designing for resilience?

Guest Facilitators:  Carey Anne Curran and Michelle Reese

Mary coaches leaders on how to get maximum engagement from their employees and the highest level of performance and productivity from their teams.

She is a business coach, and her focus is on the development of high performance teams. In business, like any other area, teams don’t just spontaneously come together. The level of engagement and performance you get from your team depends on the quality of leadership in the organization and the degree to which top leaders and managers throughout the organization are committed to training, coaching, and mentoring talent in the workforce … and promoting teamwork as a way of life.
