Event Description:
We are excited to showcase our first mini-conference showcasing our Emerging Professionals Program! Come witness dynamic 5-minute presentations by aspiring professionals as they engage with a distinguished panel of seasoned Training and Development professionals. As an attendee, you will have the opportunity to provide direct feedback to our Emerging Professionals. Feedback forms will be provided, allowing you to share your thoughts and insights with the presenters. This event is not just an opportunity for the presenters; it's a chance for you to contribute to the growth of the Training and Development community. Your insights and feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the future of workplace learning.
Additionally, we will be treated with insights from an opening and closing keynote speaker as well as the opportunity to engage and network!
Keynote Information:
Opening Keynote: Sherrice Sledge-Thomas, Chief People and Culture Officer at Community Shelter Board
Sherrice Sledge-Thomas is the Chief People and Culture Officer at Community Shelter Board, an organization that leads a coordinated system response to make sure everyone has a place to call home. Prior to joining, she was the VP of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. She also spent several years at NiSource, one of the largest fully-regulated utility companies in the United States. Sherrice served as the Director of Change Management, leading the design and execution of innovative stakeholder engagement strategies with a keen focus on data analytis. She spent 19 years at Nationwide, a Fortune 100 company, holding both leadership and individual contributor roles in Organization Effectiveness, Talent Management, and Leadership Development.
As a first-generation college graduate, Sherrice holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Organizational Leadership and Management from Franklin University and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in Women’s Studies from The Ohio State University. She’s also published two books, The Balance Finder and Hot Like Fire.
Closing Keynote: Jill Kuhlman, Chief Administrative Officer, FST Logistics
Jill Kuhlman is Chief Administrative Officer for FST Logistics, Inc. In her
role, she oversees all aspects of human resources, corporate compliance, and risk management. While leading these areas, she also manages the administration of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and all aspects of board governance with the FST Logistics Board of Directors. Prior to her current role, she has experience in leading and developing teams within the talent acquisition industries at organizations including Staffing Leadership Group, Fiserv and WilsonHCG.
Jill is actively engaged in the community being on the Board of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board of the Columbus Region Logistics Council, and committee member for Workforce Development within the Columbus Chamber. Jill has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a certificate from The Beyster Institute Certificate Program for Non-Professional ESOP Fiduciaries, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio University. In 2020, Jill was named as a recipient of the Women in Supply Chain Award by Supply Chain & Demand Executive.
